Univ’s second public consultation
The College’s project team for its North Oxford development has held a second public consultation on the evolved designs for the project. The consultation, held on the afternoon of Wednesday, 16 October 2019 at the Maison Francaise in Norham Road, shared the current form of the development scheme. The many discussions during the day were supported by an architectural scale model enabling the scheme to be visualised easily. Multiple display boards describing the evolution of the design were arranged around the room, and highlighted in particular the close attention paid by the design team to the comments received in July.
The event was well-attended following invitations to neighbours, councillors, local residents’ associations, and important interest groups. Senior officers from the College, and seniors from the architectural design company, planning consultancy and project management company combined to support and inform the consultation throughout the day. The representatives at the event included senior officers and trustees from the College; architects from Níall McLaughlin Architects Ltd; planning consultants from Barton Willmore and project managers from Bidwells LLP.
