Univ will be appearing on University Challenge Series 29. Their first-round match will be broadcast on BBC2 on Monday 12 September at 8.30pm.

The Univ team are:

Alexander Wallop (2021, Chemistry)
Leah Fogarty (2021, Biomedical Sciences)
Alice Chakraborty (2021, Classics and English)
Hari Bravery (2020, English Language and Literature), Reserve

Enzo commented, “Preparing for University Challenge was so much fun! My team and I read a lot of past questions from quiz books and watched a lot of episodes, trying to improve how much we could answer successfully with each session. Without spoiling anything, I genuinely had a blast filming it! The production crew were so kind and welcoming, and it was so gratifying when I did answer correctly.”

Leah said, “University Challenge was such a unique experience for me. Competing with such intelligent people, with the extra additions of the camera crew and the filming processes, was so cool, and probably something I will never do again. I am grateful for the experience.”

Alex explained, “To be honest I was surprised to get on the team let alone the show, and for this reason, I think the whole experience wasn’t really at all stressful. I enjoyed every bit of it. I was very proud of the team, everyone played their part brilliantly, especially Enzo. As I’m sure everyone can agree he was the star. I did actually get one of my jumpers repaired on set for free actually.”
