Tonight Univ are competing in the last of the first-round matches of University Challenge 2019/2020. Their opponents are students from Magdalene College, Cambridge.

Eric Sheng (2017, History) captains the team, composed of Barney Pite (2017, Classics), Lydia McDermott (2019, PPE) and James Crompton (2017, Chemistry) and Oliver Hargrave (2017, Oriental Studies) (reserve).

Univ won in 1976 and 1972 and were runners-up in 1987 and 1982. Univ also holds the record for the biggest score (520 points) in the final ITV season in 1987.

University Challenge starts at 8.30pm on BBC Two.
