Alexandra Wilson’s (2013, PPE) debut novel, The Witness, is now available for preorder. This twisty legal thriller will be published on 27 June 2024.

In The Witness, a young black man is arrested for murder. The case against him is strong – a mum and a teacher saw him standing over a body in a park, a knife still in hand. But his up-and-coming barrister Rosa knows how people prejudge, but most of all, she suspects something is amiss. So, she begins to delve deeper into the case, discovering secret after secret. The Witness is a thriller about how we judge guilt, about the strength of a young woman, and is the start of a groundbreaking new series.

After studying PPE at Univ, Alexandra did a graduate diploma and Master’s in Law at BPP University. She received the first ever Queen’s scholarship at Middle Temple. Alexandra is now a Law Clerk at Tuckner, Sipser, Weinstock & Sipser, LLP in New York City.

In 2020, her first book, In Black and White: A Young Barrister’s Story of Race and Class in a Broken Justice System, was published. The book details the life-changing events that motivated Alexandra to practise law, including the murder of a close family friend and personal experiences of knife crime. Then, she discusses her journey navigating the justice system as a young Black barrister today.
