The Martlet issue 11
The Martlet issue 11 is now online. This issue contains a section dedicated to University College, North Oxford or “Univ North” – the largest expansion of the College in over three centuries.
Along with features from Níall McLaughlin and Kim Wilkie (Univ North Architect and Landscape Architect, respectively), Dr Robin Darwall-Smith (1982, Classics), College Archivist, explores the early story of Stavertonia, whilst former residents share their memories of “Stavs”.
Elsewhere in The Martlet we join a polar climate expedition aboard a drifting laboratory, uncover ritual practices in an Ancient Egyptian Temple and meet comedy producer legend Jon Plowman OBE (1971, English).
Plus, of course, Development news, announcements, music, sports and societies updates and the latest on digital univ.
