TensorFlow Award
Dr Patrick Rebeschini, Tutorial Fellow in Statistics, has been awarded a TensorFlow Award from Google to support the development of new research and teaching curricula in machine learning, as well as diversity initiatives aimed at widening access to education in statistics and computer science. The award will also be used to foster cross-institutional collaborations between European research laboratories, part of the ELLIS network.
In 2019, Dr Patrick Rebeschini was awarded a MPLS Teaching Award for the design, development and teaching of a new course titled “Algorithmic Foundations of Learning” (AFoL), presenting recent trends in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) in a unifying framework.
Prior to joining the University of Oxford, Dr Rebeschini was a lecturer in the Computer Science department at Yale University and a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale Institute for Network Science. He has a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University, where he worked in applied probability.
