New UCBC website and OULRC President
University College Boat Club recently launched their new website. Matt Hudson (2019, Ancient & Modern History) has also been named Oxford University Lightweight Rowing Club President for 2021-22.
The new UCBC Website is now live at univboatclub.com Visit to find out what we’ve been up to lately, or read about our rich history. UCBC would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to the website – including (but not limited to) Old Members Colin Honey (1950, History) and Margaret Chamberlain (1979, Law), the UCBC Committee and coaches, and the College Archivist Dr Robin Darwall-Smith (1982, Classics). We hope you enjoy it! Should you have any questions, comments, or additions to the website, please contact Kim Becker – E: Kimberly.Becker@univ.ox.ac.uk
Last academic year, Nick Ryan (2018, MMaths) was Vice President of OULRC. Nick and Matt achieved fourth place together in a lightweight pair boat on Day 3 of BUCS. Nick also got bronze in a single and silver in a 4. Both Nick and Matt were in the OULRC men’s boats facing Cambridge in May, rowing between Queen Adelaide Bridge and Littleport. Nick was in the Blue boat while Matt stroked the Nephthys 2.
