Sir Ivor Crewe Appointment
Sir Ivor Crewe, Master of Univ, has been appointed to the Government’s Post-18 Education Review Panel, which was announced as part of a wide-ranging review by Prime Minister Theresa May on 19 February.
Pledging to look at ways that ensure more people have a better choice of both high quality technical and academic options, the PM promised that the review would consider “the whole post-18 education sector in the round, breaking down false boundaries between further and higher education, to create a system which is truly joined up.”
Philip Augar, former non-executive director of the Department for Education, will chair the independent panel, with Sir Ivor’s fellow advisors comprising:
- Bev Robinson – Principal of Blackpool and The Fylde College
- Edward Peck – Vice-Chancellor of Nottingham Trent University
- Alison Wolf – a cross-bench peer in the House of Lords
- Jacqueline De Rojas – President of techUK and the chair of the Digital Leaders board
