A virtual Martlet Ensemble
The loss of live music has been one of the many consequences of lockdown. With that in mind, The Martlet Ensemble has put together a remote performance of one of Haydn’s most loved string quartets; Op 33, no 5, affectionately known as the “How do you do” quartet. After much work, rehearsal and fighting with technology, this is the result, expertly edited by Chris Murphy.
We are enormously grateful to our professional musicians, Caroline Balding, Rose Redgrave and Richard Tunnicliffe, and especially to our own Elsa Shah (second-year music student) for such wonderful playing. We hope to see you in Univ for live concerts as soon as the loosening of restrictions allow.
