UNIV 775 FESTIVAL

All members of Univ, friends and family are invited to join our festival of events, which will be held in College on Saturday, 28 September to celebrate 775 years of Univ and Univ’s people.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our festival programme of events is sure to entertain, inspire and delight you:


Univ Benefactors Book on display at the 40 Years of Women Garden PartyExperiences old and new
– Guided tours of the College, gardens and art collection
– The chance to (re-)experience a Univ tutorial with some of our current academics
– Wine tasting in the Cellar
– An exhibition of Univ Treasures
– Graduate poster sessions, where scholars will illustrate their research

– Children’s art activities
– Treasure hunt
– Letterpress bookmark making sessions with the College Librarian
– Garden games

– Evensong in the Chapel

Refreshments

– Food and beverages, including a buffet lunch, tea and cake, candyfloss and ice cream, will be available throughout the day and are included in the ticket price.
– A paid bar will be available.

 

Light show - Photo by Cosmin Serban on UnsplashThe festival culminates in a dinner at which Professor Irene Tracey CBE, Vice Chancellor of the University, will be our Guest Speaker, followed by a son et lumière (sound and light show) in the Main Quad at approximately 9.30pm.

UNIV ACCOMMODATION

Interested in staying in College? A limited number of College bedrooms are available to book over the weekend. Please note that not all rooms are en suite – some have shared facilities (so Old Members can truly relive their student days!) Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis (depending on number of guests and access requirements). The cost includes breakfast in Hall. Make your reservations below.
