Carys Roberts appointment

Carys Roberts (2008, PPE), University College alumna and the current Director of the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), has been appointed as a special adviser in the Prime Minister’s policy unit. In her new role, Carys will focus on advising the Prime Minister on key areas including climate, energy, and the environment.

Carys has had an influential career, leading the IPPR, one of the UK’s most prominent think tanks. Her expertise in public policy, particularly in environmental and economic issues, will be crucial as she takes on this important role within government.

During her time at Univ, Carys studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), and has since gone on to make a significant impact in her field. She was also featured in the Young Univ Gallery, which highlights the diversity of careers pursued by Univ alumni.

Univ is proud of Carys’s accomplishments and wishes her continued success in her new position at Downing Street.
