Teaching

I teach all 3 years of the Organic Chemistry course at Univ, as well as the 1st year Organic Chemistry course for the Biochemists. I also co-organise and lecture the 1st year Organic Chemistry course for the Department of Biochemistry.

Research

My research is focused in the area of carbohydrate chemistry with an emphasis on the synthesis of rare and branched sugars as building blocks for drug development. Specific targets include diabetes and cystic fibrosis drugs as well as anti-cancer agents.
