Univ Treasures

Univ, like many other Oxford colleges, houses a great number of items of historical interest and significance, although these are often buried away in the Library or Archives. To make these more accessible, we publish photos and details of these wonderful treasures here each month to form part of a permanent online exhibition.

These features on Univ’s Treasures – ranging from information on Cyril Tolley (‘Univ's Greatest Golfer’) to our Map of Utopia and the story behind our monumental statues of Lords Eldon and Stowell, who preside over the Poynton Reading Room – form part of the rich tapestry of Univ’s history.

Check back monthly to see the latest additions or follow us on Facebook and Twitter for news and notifications on the latest treasures.

Our dedicated Univ History and Treasures Pinterest board is also regularly updated with images from our archives and wider College buildings – you can view it here (opens in new window.)
