Papers of Robert Henderson Clapperton (d. 1970)

Robert Henderson Clapperton came up to University College in 1912 (his brother James came up in 1913). Like many undergraduates at this time, his career was interrupted by the war, and he never sat his Finals, but he was awarded a BA in 1916.

These papers comprise a collection of termcards, programmes of events and dinner menus from his time at the College. It is not known when they were given to the College, but they were found in the archives during the stocktaking of July 1993.
All the following documents, except UC:P79/X2/1-5 and 7, are signed by Clapperton himself, and most of the participants.

Recatalogued in October 1999.
